We are one of the few companies in Poland to offer steel roller manufacture, rubber roller covering and rubber covering of sleeves at the same facility.

As a steel roller manufacturer, we offer a wide range of coverings for steel and aluminium rollers. Our comprehensive range also includes chrome roller refurbishment, polyurethane roller refurbishment, anilox rollers and anilox sleeves.

We also provide spot repairs to steel and chrome cylinders without removing them from the machine.

Our customers range from major groups with operations worldwide to small local businesses.

Our manufacturing facility in Wola near Oświęcim, in Poland’s Silesian region, occupies a convenient logistics location beside the new S1 expressway. Situated directly by the Wola junction, it offers quick access for customers travelling from Tychy, Bielsko-Biała and Żywiec.

Our main products and services

Why choose roller refurbishment?

Roller refurbishment at REMDRUK is often the best maintenance solution:

  1. Cost: renewing the covering costs significantly less than manufacturing a new roller to the same specification.
  2. Time: faster servicing helps reduce machine downtime.
  3. Environment: reusing cores reduces industrial waste.

Our strengths

A wide choice of rubber roller coverings

We refurbish rollers using filtered rubber compounds from England and Germany, proven over many years. In addition to rubber rollers, we refurbish silicone and polyurethane rollers.
For chrome rollers, we apply hard chrome by electroplating.
Ceramic coatings are plasma-sprayed.

TECHNICAL ADVICE AND SITE VISITS

We are happy to share the knowledge we have gained over the years. Based on the information you provide, we help select the rubber compound and hardness.
On request, we visit your premises to better understand your needs and operating conditions. We can measure rollers on site and then manufacture new machinery rollers from the resulting technical drawings.

MODERN MACHINERY
Rubber roller manufacture

We manufacture steel rollers on CNC and conventional lathes. In 2023, we replaced our lathes with two new machines, making roller production more efficient and even more precise.
Rubber rollers are ground on a specially adapted CNC grinder and a conventional grinder. Neither machine is more than five years old.

Short lead times

The standard lead time for roller refurbishment is 10–15 working days, depending on the scope of work and machine workload. In urgent cases, express rubber refurbishment may be available within 3–5 working days.
Grinding can be carried out immediately upon delivery if the delivery date is agreed in advance.

ROLLER CONDITION ASSESSMENT

When a roller arrives for refurbishment, we check the bearing seats for wear and assess the overall condition of the steel core. Any defects are reported to the customer with a repair quotation. Once approved, we refurbish the steel components before applying the covering.

A COMPREHENSIVE RANGE

We offer a virtually complete range of roller and sleeve manufacturing and refurbishment services. For rollers used in many types of machinery, we supply polyurethane and silicone coverings as well as rubber.

Our range also includes:

INDUSTRIES WE SERVE

We specialise in manufacturing and refurbishing rollers for the packaging, printing, paper, furniture and woodworking industries. We also serve customers in textiles, metallurgy and any industry using covered or uncovered steel rollers.

COMPONENTS FROM ESTABLISHED SUPPLIERS

We manufacture new rollers and refurbish rubber rollers using high-quality components from established European suppliers. German compounds from Kraiburg support high quality and consistency throughout the refurbishment process.

Experience

Experience

We have been in business since 1998. Our experience in rubber roller manufacture and refurbishment, alongside steel roller manufacture, allows us to provide professional support to our customers. We readily share our expertise, building long-term relationships that benefit both parties.

Team

Why REMDRUK?

We are a family business. Our relatively small organisation allows us to take a flexible, individual approach to each customer.

Rubber roller refurbishment, new roller manufacture and journal repairs are carried out at one facility, without the need to subcontract these services.

Machinery

Our machinery

Our modern, regularly renewed machinery makes rubber roller covering a repeatable process. Steel and aluminium rollers are manufactured from scratch on CNC and conventional lathes, while rubber rollers are finished on CNC and conventional grinding machines.

Rubber roller manufacture: technology for reliable machinery

Rubber roller manufacture demands considerable precision and experience. REMDRUK has specialised for years in manufacturing rollers for industries ranging from printing and packaging to woodworking and textiles. Investment in our machinery and modern technology enables us to offer products that meet the highest quality standards.

Why are rollers important in production?

Rollers are key machine components. Their quality affects smooth operation, process consistency and the service life of the entire production line. Proper steel roller manufacture and precision rubber grinding help prevent vibration, reduce friction and improve machine efficiency.

Materials used in roller manufacture

We manufacture rollers from carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium, with rubber, silicone, polyurethane and chrome coverings. Each material is selected individually to suit the customer’s requirements and operating conditions, helping rollers maintain their performance through years of intensive use.

Roller refurbishment: extending the life of your machinery

Rubber roller refurbishment can significantly reduce machinery maintenance costs. Instead of investing in new components, worn parts can be restored to full working condition.

What does roller refurbishment involve?

Refurbishment begins with inspection and measurement. We check the covering hardness, journals, bearing seats and overall core condition. We then remove the worn covering and apply a new one to restore the original technical specification.

Benefits of roller refurbishment

  • Cost savings: refurbishment costs significantly less than buying new rollers. Lead times are also shorter than for manufacturing new rollers.
  • Environmental benefits: refurbishment reduces industrial waste.

FAQ

Our facility is in Wola near Oświęcim, in the Silesian region of Poland. We serve customers throughout Poland and internationally, with roller transport available on request.
We use carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium. We select the type and hardness of rubber, silicone or polyurethane to suit the machine’s operating conditions. We also offer carbon fibre rollers, which are lighter and stiffer than aluminium rollers.
Yes. Every job begins with checks on runout, journals, bearing seats and overall core condition. We also measure the rubber hardness during inspection.
We manufacture new steel and aluminium rollers and refurbish rubber, silicone, polyurethane and chrome rollers.
Yes. We rubber-cover sleeves at the same facility. In addition to refurbishment and new rubber-covered sleeves, we offer sleeve grinding for printing, coating and laminating applications.
Yes. We offer spot repairs to steel and chrome cylinders without removing them from the machine. Repairs are carried out at the customer’s premises, with the roller in place.
No. We work with international groups and local businesses alike.
Start with a description of the production problem and the roller details. Rubber outside diameter, core diameter, rubber face length, machine name and operating conditions are the basic information needed for a refurbishment quotation.
Refurbishment is worthwhile when the core retains its geometry, the journals and bearing seats are within tolerance, and the problem concerns the working covering. If the core is bent or cracked, wear affects alignment, and repair costs approach the cost of a new roller, we recommend replacement.
No. Changing material without analysing the process chemicals, temperature, speed and nip pressure often causes faster wear or poorer quality. We always assess operating conditions before selecting a material.
Key factors are the rubber compound’s suitability for the operating conditions, covering geometry and hardness, core condition, journal quality and, in many applications, dynamic balance. Overlooking any of these factors usually leads to faster rubber wear, vibration or unstable machine operation.
Yes. In many cases, changing the material, adjusting hardness, or simply regrinding and dynamically balancing the roller can improve process stability and roller life.
Please provide the diameter, working face length, machine type, process medium (such as ink, glue or oil), operating temperature and symptoms of the problem. This allows us to recommend refurbishment, modification or a new roller on a sound technical basis.
Yes, we provide technical advice. Where immediate refurbishment is not technically justified, we often recommend another solution.
In addition to rubber, we offer silicone, polyurethane and hard chrome coverings. Thermally sprayed coatings, including ceramics and pure metals, are also available on request.
